Over a dinner in Yamamori, I had mentioned to my two drum buddies that I had intended to start a Rush Tribute band. Not one which would be suiting up in 70s-style kimonos, but one which would be purely about the music. Baz got up from his seat, came around to give me a hug and, just like a mother would, said “There, there now, you’ll be ok when the pills kick in!” But then, joking aside, Johnny Boyle & Baz Campbell approved and said if anyone was gonna do this it would be me. Ireland's premier Rush cover band, 2112 are back rehearsing at Beechpark Studios in preparation for their upcoming show at The Sugar Club, Dublin on July 1, 2017.
In addition to old Rush standards such as 2112, Limelight and Xanadu, they promise an extensive set of 2 hours+, with newer Rush tracks and, of course, a few surprises that they've yet to play live! With the backup of a spectacular video show it promises to be a night to remember for any discerning rock fan.
